Feathered Friday - New Chickens

We have acquired some new chickens recently.  Last month W put a bunch of eggs in an incubator and we ended up with 13 tiny, fluffy chicks.

This is the tiniest one of the bunch.  She spends more time warming under the lamp than some of the others but is strong and growing every day.

My dad was given a bunch of chicks and only wanted to keep some of them.  He offered us any of the others.  We chose six to add to our flock.

Finally our broody hen Bubbles has been diligently sitting on 15 eggs.  I hope to have pictures of her babies to share next week.

This is the most frugal way to hatch out baby chicks as she only requires a bit of feed and no electricity.
