Weekly Savings

I am a bit behind on my weekly savings post, but better late than never.  It was a quiet week with not much to share.  First up is the produce I harvested from the garden.  We have picked strawberries, raspberries, and lettuce and have also dug potatoes this past week.  We are getting plenty of eggs so egg salad sandwiches are making a regular rotation onto the menu.  We also eat hard-boiled (actually steamed) eggs on our salads and for snacks.

I did minimal grocery shopping this past week and only picked up items needed.  I am still getting used to our new grocery store.  I have found some items that are cheaper and other items that are more expensive and will be purchased elsewhere.

The rabbits, chickens, and ducks ate weeds and some produce from the garden.  This certainly helps on the cost of having pets.

I took advantage of a clearance sale at Dollar General to buy socks, underwear, and a few other goodies for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.  These were not super cheap but were much better than paying full price.  I am thankful for an online network that shares these deals!

I watched several current TV shows on Hulu.  Clothes were dried on the line.  I used vinegar to clean out the coffee and tea pots.  That hot vinegar along with some baking soda was used to clean out the sink drain.
