Weekend Book Review: Over Maya Dead Body

Over Maya Dead Body by Sandra Orchard is the third book in the Serena Jones Mystery.  This book easily stands on its own.  Serena Jones is on Martha's Vineyard to celebrate the engagement of a family friend.  She cannot leave her job as FBI agent behind though and soon finds herself in the middle of a antiquities smuggling mystery.  The case gets more complicated the deeper she digs.  With her Aunt Martha, co-worker Tanner, and neighbor Nate by her side, she sorts through all of the suspects to find the killer before she is the next victim.

The author does an excellent job of describing the characters and setting.  I enjoy the writing style.  It is always nice to find an author that writes without foul language or too much romance.  I was pleased that a couple of loose ends were tied up.  It makes me excited to see what direction the series will take next.

disclosure:  I received this book from Revell (a division of Baker Publishing Group) but was not otherwise compensated for this review.  All opinions are my own!
